This is a long trailer for a feature documentary film about the life and teaching of BKS Iyengar. It is a deeply moving story of how BKS Iyengar Yoga has touched a master sculptor, an addict, and an orphan in India. Their suffering, says BKS Iyengar, has guided them, like a thorn in the side, to improve their intelligence.

This link is to an online campaign to raise funds to finish editing the film.  Proceeds from sales and screenings will go to BKS Iyengar’s foundation for Bellur Village schools and hospital, where he was born in South India:

About Bruce Roger

Bruce Roger, founder of Yoga St. Louis, has been practicing yoga since 1979 and teaching full time since 1984, when he founded Yoga St. Louis. He has studied in India with B.K.S., Geeta and Prashant Iyengar five times and has continued to study online weekly with Prashant Iyengar and Abhijata Iyengar.

Bruce brings to his teaching both a well developed eye for symmetry and balance nurtured through his career as a professional architect, and a love of the philosophy found in the classic yoga texts.

Having designed the Yoga St. Louis studio specifically for the practice of yoga, it has been acclaimed as one of the finest in the nation by top Iyengar yoga teachers.

Bruce is officially certified to teach this method through the BKS Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States. A founder of the BKS Iyengar Yoga Association of the Midwest Bioregions, he served on its Board of Directors from 1990 to 1996. He currently is on the Board of the BKS Iyengar Yoga Association - South Central region.
